About Carmen

Carmen is a classical guitarist from Seville who came to Brussels for a BOZAR residency and stayed. That was two years ago and Brussels has rewarded her loyalty: she performs regularly, knows the city's classical music calendar better than most, and has found her way into the restaurant culture and cultural institutions that make Brussels worth living in rather than just working in. There is something about a woman trained in classical guitar that is hard to name but easy to feel: a patience in the hands, a quality of listening, a sense that beauty requires attention and effort and she is willing to give both. That is who Carmen is in any room, at any table. She is the most instinctively elegant woman most clients have spent time with. Not because of anything she tries, but because music gave her a sense of what proportion and timing are — and those things apply everywhere. For travel, she is exceptional: she navigates cities with curiosity and grace, knows when to lead and when to follow, and makes every destination feel like it was chosen for a reason. She is fluent in four languages and at home in all of them.
